This program is designed for organizations that train more than 50 employees per year and would like to deliver OTEC’s flagship “Customer Service Excellence” program or series of workshops in-house. and will discover how to create a learner- centric environment. Fundamental in Teaching and Learning (FTL), 2015, Sheridan College, Oakville, ON. FTL is an 18-hour hybrid course (12 hours face to face & 6 hours online) which provides a forum through which all participants can engage in discussion regarding classroom teaching and applied learning at Sheridan. By the end of the modules, participants will have demonstrated the ability to:
co-create an inclusive environment for engagement, discussion and learning.
apply interactive strategies and techniques to support student learning.
identify Sheridan policies that guide faculty in course and classroom management.
explore strategies and techniques for dealing with classroom management and individual student issues.
identify a variety of tools to facilitate feedback, evaluation and assessment.
create a ten minute collaborative lesson using a lesson plan template that includes learning outcomes.

Beyond Face To Face ( F2F ), 2015, Sheridan College, Brampton, ON. In this 7-week asynchronous online workshop, participants spend about one-hour per week exploring online teaching and learning through journal reflections and discussion forums as well as lectures, videos, and websites. Participants consider instructional design, assessment, inquiry-based instruction, digital media, two-way communication, social media, and collaboration. Learning Outcomes 1.
